The Healthcare Management degree program jointly offered by Union Graduate College (UGC) and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences allows students to combine a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree with an M.B.A.
The combined program significantly reduces the time and expense of obtaining the two degrees when compared to completing the programs independently.
The M.B.A. in Healthcare Management degree prepares students for analytical, managerial, and executive-level positions in the pharmaceutical industry and more broadly, the healthcare industry.
It is a 20 course degree program. Seven course requirements are met through course substitutions. The remaining 13 courses are usually completed on a part-time basis over a three year period.
Students in the program typically take summer M.B.A. courses at UGC. The M.B.A. program also requires an administrative internship. Selected Pharm.D. practicums may be applied to the internship requirement.
