Picture this fictional scenario: on June 30, 2024, a 22-year-old medical student, is brutally murdered in the apartment she shares with her roommate. The 23-year-old roommate is also attacked but survives with a traumatic brain injury. A six-year-old girl is left unharmed but witnesses the attacks.

Now picture dozens of high school students from throughout the Capital Region converging at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Friday, December 6 at 3 pm to dissect the case of Ignatius M. Innocent.

Led by ACPHS faculty and students from the new psychology, forensic psychology and forensic science programs that ACPHS developed from the former College of Saint Rose, current high school and college students from across the region and beyond, will have a unique interactive opportunity to see and hear, and decide, the crucial details in the case.

Students from ACPHS’ newly formed Mock Trial team will also be onsite to support the murder trial presentation complete with faculty testimony to resolve the relevant issues, along with audience participation to decide on the evidence.
