The Writing and Communication Center is a free, one-to-one service available to all members of the ACPHS community. It is staffed by peer and professional tutors who are trained to assist writers at all levels of ability with any type of written or oral communication task at any stage of the writing or oral communication process. The Center is designed to help students with their writing needs and create confident, self-reflective writers. It does not provide editing or proofreading assistance.

Online Writing Labs (OWLs)
The Office of Counseling and Wellness on the Albany Campus offers free wellness and mental health services for students of the College.
Services include assistance with a variety of issues, such as academic and adjustment concerns, anxiety, alcohol and drug use, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, family problems, LGBTQ, mood swings, relationship difficulties, stress, and suicidal thoughts. Academic accommodations for individuals with documented disabilities are also processed through this office.
All counseling, consultations, and referrals are kept strictly confidential, in accordance with legal and professional guidelines.
The Office of Counseling and Wellness is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Online students may schedule appointments through the confidential secretary/receptionist at (518) 694-7107 or by emailing the Office of Counseling and Wellness at counselingservices@acphs.edu. They can also assist with making referrals to a counselor in your area.
The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences library provides high quality resources, services and educational experiences to meet students’ information needs. Professional librarians are available to provide one-on-one research assistance to online students via phone, email and instant messaging.
