The Center for Student Success works to inspire confidence, increase student competence, and create self-reflective learners in a friendly, welcoming environment. Our comprehensive programs are designed to help you grow academically, personally, and professionally.
Through the development of independent learning skills, our services help you develop a deeper understanding of classroom concepts, reinforce the integration of ideas between courses, and ultimately improve your chances of academic success.
OUR SERVICES
Academic Advising
Students are assigned an Academic Advisor at the start of their first year at ACPHS. Advisors help students transition to the rigors of an ACPHS education, and offer support in all things academic- and campus-related.
Peer Tutoring
A peer-to-peer tutoring service supporting core science and math courses.
Peer Mentoring
Upperclass students are matched with incoming students to ease their transitions to ACPHS.
Writing and Communication Center
Staffed by professional and peer tutors, the WCC is a free, one-to-one service available to all ACPHS students.
Academic and Study Skills Workshops
For students seeking to better understand and strengthen their strategies for academic success. Along with stand-alone workshops, the Student Success Series is offered each semester, providing an umbrella of advice and systems to set students up for success in and out of the classroom.
Career Services
The Center for Student Success provides current students with instruction in career education, planning, and development, plus opportunities to connect with potential employers via a range of events and resources. We host an annual Career Fair on the third Friday in October.
