Nearly 70 accepted students and their families from states throughout the mid-Atlantic and New England, and as far west as Montana, gathered in the gym on Saturday morning to learn more about the array of programs offered at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the biomedical, clinical and laboratory, pharmacy and pharmaceutical, and social and behavioral sciences. Most notably, our new 1+2+1 BS in nursing, which will be available pending approval from the New York State Education Department.
It was the first of two spring Accepted Student Days and faculty and program directors stood ready to answer their questions about any one of 10 undergraduate programs (below) including pre-pharmacy which has a pathway to our PharmD:
- Biology
- Biomedical Technology
- Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- Forensic Psychology
- Forensic Science
- Health Sciences
- Microbiology
- Nursing (pending NYSED approval)
- Pharmacy
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Psychology
- Public Health
On hand, there was also information available about many of our graduate programs as ACPHS seeks to provide seamless pathways from bachelors to masters programs and pre-med pathways, some of which are available in either online of hybrid modes. With strong partnerships with other higher education institutions, ACPHS can help students chart a course for the career they desire.
Students and their families also received a warm welcome from the admissions team, toured the campus, and were treated to a delicious lunch.
