Overexpression of P-glycoprotein (Pgp) has been attributed to manifestation of multidrug resistance (MDR). The influence of modulation (inhibition or stimulation) of this protein on pharmacokinetics and toxicodynamics of xenobiotics is the current focus of our research projects.
