Pharmacy Educator Program Enters Fifth Year

Registration is now open for H.E.L.P. (Helping Educators Learn Pedagogy), an eight week online program for pharmacy educators. Hosted by the College, the program provides strategies and tactics to increase a faculty member's effectiveness in the classroom. This year's program begins June 2.

Now in its fifth year, H.E.L.P. offers a unique methodology that approaches teaching from a learning perspective, helping participants develop lessons and assignments that increase student engagement and enhance understanding in the classroom.

With all work conducted online, H.E.L.P. provides each participant with the flexibility to pursue their studies when it is convenient for them. Judging from the feedback of past participants, the program is having a positive impact.

In an evaulation of the program, one of the former participants wrote, "I would absolutely recommend H.E.L.P. By tying the entire experience to an existing lesson, you really get to apply everything immediately and watch the transformation happen."

Whether one is new to academia or a seasoned faculty member, H.E.L.P. can help her or him become a better teacher.

Please visit the H.E.L.P. web site to learn more about the program. If you have any questions, e-mail H.E.L.P. Co-Directors Patricia Baia or Aimee Strang at
