The ACPHS Women's Basketball team received the #3 seed in the upcoming United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division II National Tournament.
The Panthers, winners of the 2013 championship, open defense of their title on March 6 vs. Penn State-Fayette.
The Panthers are led by the trio of Alexa Schooley (13.5 ppg), Kelsey Johnson (13.1 ppg), and Taylor Sullivan (10.5 ppg).
Johnson is averaging 2.4 blocks per game which is good for #5 in the USCAA and Meg Serley is ranked #15 in steals with 2.8 stl/g.
If ACPHS is able to advance into the semifinals, they'll face the winner of No. 2 UC Clermont and No. 7 U-Maine Augusta on Friday, March 7.
The National Championship game is set for Saturday, March 8.
The remaining bids went to No. 1 Central Maine CC, No. 4 Berekely College (NY), and No. 5 Penn State Beaver.
This year's tournament will be held on the campus of Penn State-Fayette in Uniontown, Pa.
