ACPHS Rises in National Rankings

October 3, 2017

Organizations ranging from the federal government to college search websites have recently published their annual rankings, and ACPHS has earned several impressive accolades, including the #2 position on the College Scorecard for salary after attending.

Below is a recap of some of the most notable achievements:

  • ACPHS has climbed to the #2 ranking – out of 3,983 schools nationwide – for "Salary After Attending" on the federal government's College Scorecard with a salary of $122,600. This number reflects the median earnings of former students who received federal financial aid at ten years after entering the school. For a typical ACPHS student, this figure would indicate their salary 4-6 years after graduation. In last year’s College Scorecard, ACPHS was ranked #3 in this category with a median salary of $118,800.
  • Career website Zippia.com has published a salary survey that ranks the Colleges with the Highest Earning Graduates in Each State. ACPHS earned the distinction of being the #1 ranked school for salaries in New York State and the #4-ranked college in the country. The report says of ACPHS, “This high value-added school is clearly successful at producing successful people.” The survey is based on the median earnings of college graduates six and ten years after they graduated.
  • The website Payscale.com, which provides compensation guidance for both employees and employers, published their 2017-18 College Salary Report. ACPHS placed in the top 25 in the country, finishing higher than four Ivy League schools. The data used by PayScale to calculate salary information for this report comes from millions of people who have taken the PayScale Salary Survey and shared where they received their bachelor's degree.
  • Niche.com, a website that analyzes public data sets and millions of reviews to produce comprehensive rankings, named ACPHS a top 50 school in its 2018 list of the Best Value Colleges in America. Criteria used for the rankings included net price, alumni earnings, graduation rates, and student debt using data from the U.S. Department of Education and millions of reviews.

“The College’s high placement in these national rankings is a reflection of the quality of our academic programs, and the consistent demand that exists for graduates with a strong grounding in the basic sciences, clinical sciences, and population health sciences,” said ACPHS President Greg Dewey, Ph.D. “It is also demonstrates the ability of ACPHS students to improve patient care and advance research in ways that are valued by their employers.”
