ACPHS President Reflects on Tenure

"Grandpa!" the little boy shouted down a hallway as he sprinted to plant a hug, at knee-level, on James Gozzo, the man others know as the eighth president of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

If Gozzo, 70, who is stepping down on June 30, needed a reminder about why he's retiring, he had seven of them on hand Thursday.

"It's the right time," he said. Gozzo's 16-year tenure was marked by an unprecedented era of growth in the 133-year-old institution.
