1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
A special two-day orientation will be held on August 29 and 30 on the Albany Campus for all pharmacy students entering the first professional year (P1).
Attendance at the P1 Orientation is mandatory for both Albany and Vermont Campus P1 students (transportation to/from Albany will be provided for Vermont students, in addition to accomodations at the Hilton Garden Inn).
The event will provide P1 students with: an introduction to the professional program, a breakdown of the curriculum, an overview of pharmacy professional organizations, “tips for success” from faculty and P2-P4 students, and an opportunity to discuss various ethical and “real-life” situations that arise in pharmacy practice with practicing pharmacists.
The program will be led predominantly by upperclassmen in the Pharm.D. program and will be offered as small-group, interactive, hands-on workshops. It will also include exercises to help students on both campuses meet one another.
The program officially begins at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 29 and will conclude by 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 30. Click the following link to view the agenda.
