Applications are invited for a full-time Research Manager at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute (PRI), located on the East Campus of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The manager will have involvement in experimental animal studies focused on cancer and vascular research, as well as, cell biology and molecular biology studies. The manager will perform animal studies and conduct in vivo imaging using IVIS in cancer and vascular research; conduct and oversee various cell and molecular biology techniques, including immunocytochemistry and confocal microscopy, cell culture, western blot and PCR, and flow cytometric analysis; mentor current students in their research projects. The manager will also be expected to assist in departmental research activities and collaborative projects; support all research projects by carrying out required experiments for publications and/or grant applications; maintain equipment, order supplies and manage laboratory operations; record results, generate reports, and present results at weekly lab meetings.
An M.S. or Ph.D. in biology or related field with extensive experience in cancer and vascular biology required. Qualified applicants will have a high-level expertise and knowledge in the areas of cancer and vascular diseases and experience in pharmacology and biotechnology techniques.
