Assistant/Associate Professor, Pharmacy Practice

Primary CareThe Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Albany campus, and CapitalCare Medical Group invite applications from qualified candidates to join the college at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Primary Care Medicine. This full-time faculty position will be available as a non-tenure track appointment and individuals with expertise in primary care, patient-centered pharmacy practice are encouraged to apply. The College seeks individuals who will strive for excellence in teaching, service and scholarship. 

QualificationsSuccessful candidates must (1) possess a Pharm.D. degree, (2) have completed a post-doctoral residency (PGY-2 preferred) or fellowship or have equivalent clinical experience, and (3) be eligible for licensure in New York State. All candidates must possess advanced pharmacotherapy practice skills, strong teaching aptitude, a clear understanding of experiential learning, and a desire to work with students. Additionally, qualified candidates must display strong clinical and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently, yet contribute to a health care team, and excellent organizational skills.

Description:  Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is a private, independent institution committed to the advancement of healthcare. The College has academic programs and research activities spanning the full spectrum of pharmacy and health sciences from drug discovery to patient care. The group offers primary care services in Family Practice, Pediatrics and Internal Medicine throughout the Capital District.
