The Department of Pharmacy Practice at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Albany Campus, invites applications from qualified candidates to join the College at the rank of assistant or associate professor in inpatient internal medicine. Candidates with a sub-specialty in pediatrics, oncology, neurology, critical care, transitions of care, or other acute care medicine disciplines are encouraged to apply. This full-time position will be available as either a non-tenure or tenure-track appointment. The College seeks individuals who will strive for excellence in teaching, service and scholarship.
Successful candidates must (1) possess a Pharm.D. degree, (2) have completed a post-doctoral residency (PGY-2 preferred) or fellowship or have equivalent clinical experience, and (3) be eligible for licensure in New York State. Tenure-track applicants must demonstrate experience in grantsmanship, publication in peer-reviewed journals, and an ability to develop a sustainable research program. All candidates must possess a strong teaching aptitude, a clear understanding of experiential learning, and a desire to work with students and residents. Additionally, qualified candidates must display strong clinical and interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent organizational skills.

Clinical Practice Site
The College enjoys strong inter-professional partnerships with several regional affiliates (Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital and Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center), as well as surrounding educational institutions. Candidates will be expected to develop an inpatient internal medicine clinical practice site at the St. Peter’s Hospital. The institution is a 487-bed general medical and surgical hospital. The St. Peter’s Health Partner network is one of the Capital Region’s largest employers with over 12,000 employees and an annual budget of more than $500 million. The Department of Pharmacy Services at St. Peter’s provides clinical services across several multidisciplinary teams and offers a pharmacy PGY-1 residency program.
