Student Government Association

The Student Government Association 

The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the primary liaison between the ACPHS student body and the ACPHS administration. The SGA is led by the Executive Board, consisting of the SGA President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Social Chair. The SGA E-board also includes the Professional Organizations and Clubs Chairs, which support the over 60 interest groups, clubs, and professional organizations on campus. Additionally, the SGA organizes the Senate which includes representation from class years and student special interest groups.

Dom Lomonaco (he/him) is a fourth-year student in the B.S. Pharmaceutical Sciences program from Binghamton, NY. This is Dom’s second term as the SGA President, and he previously served as the SGA Executive Board Vice President. In this role, he is most looking forward to continuing to work to promote community and leadership to his peers. Around campus, Dom also serves as the President of ACPHS’ American Medical Student Association chapter, a peer tutor and peer mentor, research assistant with Dr. Jin, and is a member of many other clubs and organizations. Outside of campus, he volunteers at St. Peter’s Hospital and works in a retail pharmacy. Dom is very excited to see what we can accomplish as a campus community.

Han Jeong (she/her) is a fifth-year student in the PharmD and Public Health Dual Degree program from Dallas, Texas. She has served as one of two class programmers during her first year and is currently serving her fourth term on the SGA Executive Board. During this time, Han has seen the campus community go through various changes in academics, involvement, and administration. She hopes to apply her previous experiences to help formulate a new campus vision for future ACPHS students and encourage thoughtful, purposeful leadership among her peers. Han is also the president of the Albany student chapter of the American Pharmacists Association, president of Phi Lambda Sigma, a resident assistant, and a writing center tutor.

Ria Amo (she/her) is a second-year candidate in the PharmD program from Ogdensburg, NY. She serves as Treasurer of MSF – Doctors Without Borders chapter and Director of Media and Marketing for the Industry Pharmacist Organization chapter. She is also a Student Ambassador and is involved in many other clubs and organizations on campus. Outside of school, Ria works in retail pharmacy as well as for an organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. She is very excited to expand her role on campus and have a part in bettering the ACPHS campus community.

Ty Rheaume (he/him) is a fifth-year student in the PharmD program from Winthrop, NY. On campus he is involved in professional organizations such as Phi Delta Chi professional pharmacy fraternity and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Student chapter. Ty’s experience this year has been invaluable to him and will help him to become the best student leader he can be. Ty is excited to see what new ideas students plan to create to engage the ACPHS student body and all the opportunities the campus has to offer. He is excited to continue his role on the executive board as treasurer and is looking forward to having a fun and enjoyable year.

Isabella Ramp (she/her) is a third-year student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program from Plano, Texas. She joined SGA to engage with the community, advocate for the student body, and assist clubs in offering fun events to the campus. Outside of classes, she has served as a peer mentor, a Special Events Coordinator for the American Pharmacists Association, and a member of advisory committees. Isabella also works as a pharmacy technician at the school-operated pharmacy in Schenectady and in her home state. Some of her personal interests include reading, watching Asian dramas, and anything related to Harry Potter. She is excited to get more involved, encourage student engagement, and witness all the new ideas clubs will bring.

Julia Sexton (she/her) is a fifth-year student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program from Niskayuna, NY. She is a transfer student who has completed two years at ACPHS. Julia is excited to help professional organizations plan and coordinate events to help her peers find fulfillment and leadership opportunities on campus. She is interested in pursuing a residency after graduation in hopes of pursuing clinical pharmacy. In addition to SGA, Julia is involved in Lambda Kappa Sigma, Rho Chi, Phi Lambda Sigma, the student chapter of the American Pharmacists Association, and the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She is also the Intern Coordinator at the Albany Medical Center's inpatient pharmacy and is a Ski Patroller at Gore Mountain.

David Martin (he/him) is a third-year student in the B.S. Pharmaceutical Sciences program on the Pre-Medical Track from Babylon, NY. During his first year on campus, he served as the Class of 2025/27 Class president and volunteered at the Albany Stratton VA Hospital. In his second year, David became a Resident Assistant, President of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and the Vice President of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance. David has always been passionate about programming and continues his involvement by helping out with other clubs and organizations on and off-campus. David looks forward to fostering the growth of young leaders on-campus and bringing their programming goals to fruition as the 2023/24 SGA Social Chair.

Ryan Herrick (he/him) is a fourth-year student in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and is from Massena, NY. This is his first leadership role on campus, but he is looking forward to increasing his role in the campus community going forward. He is involved in athletics at ACPHS and plays goalkeeper for the Men’s Soccer team. He is looking forward to seeing what we can do as a community this year.

Daniel Le (he/him) is a fourth-year student in the PharmD program from Guam. He is excited for this upcoming year at ACPHS and the events our campus clubs are planning for the students. Additionally, Daniel is also the Communications VP of APhA, a Rho Pi Phi brother, and a frequent participant of many clubs on campus. Alongside SGA, he hopes to find opportunities to spotlight all campus clubs and aid with increasing student engagement with the many club events planned. He hopes the students and clubs will have a great time for the upcoming year.

Abigail Lee (she/her) is a fourth-year in the PharmD program from Syracuse, NY. She will be graduating in 2026 with her PharmD as well as a minor in Public Health. On campus, she is the vice president of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF; Doctors Without Borders), president of compounding club, president-elect of the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP), president-elect of Rho Pi Phi, and a Peer Mentor Coordinator. Apart from school, Abigail works as a pharmacy intern at CVS pharmacy. Lastly, she looks forward to her new role as POC elect and is excited to meet new people and expand preexisting connections.
