Accreditation

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). MSCHE accredits degree-granting colleges and universities in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and several locations internationally.

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education reaffirmed the College’s accreditation on March 4, 2010, with the next Self-Study Evaluation scheduled for the 2019-2020 academic year.  

MSCHE examines each institution as a whole, rather than specific programs within institutions. The below ACPHS programs are accredited separately. The length of each accreditation cycle is determined by the respective accrediting body:

• The ACPHS Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). In 2011, ACPE approved a six year extension of accreditation of the Pharmacy program until 2017.
  
  
• The Clinical Laboratory Science program is fully accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 5600 N. River Rd., Suite 720, Rosemont, IL 60018-5119 (info@naacls.org, 773-714-8880).
  
  
• The M.S. in Cytotechnology and Molecular Cytology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Cytotechnology Program Advisory Committee of the American Society of Cytopathology, 1361 Park Street, Clearwater, FL 33756 (727-210-2350).
